Commercial and municipal waste haulers must first apply for, and receive, a permit before any waste can be offloaded at the Robin Hood Bay Waste Management Facility.

Permit Application

For both new permits and renewal of an existing permit, print or download the permit application form then complete and submit to the address listed. A copy of the vehicle registration, lease or rental agreement must accompany the application.

Permit Cost

The current cost of a permit or permit renewal is $30 per year. Permits must be affixed to the vehicle inside the windshield on the driver’s side. Permits are non-transferable and are valid for one year from the date of issue. Defaced or unreadable permit stickers must be replaced. If it is unreadable due to fading it will be replaced free of charge, otherwise the replacement cost will be incurred by the waste hauler.

Account Payments

Robin Hood Bay account balances can be paid by credit card from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily by calling Access St. John’s at 311 or 709-754-CITY (2489). Payments cannot be accepted from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. or on holidays. Only vehicles with accounts in good standing will be allowed access to the Robin Hood Bay Waste Management Facility.
