Tours of the Robin Hood Bay Waste Management Facility are offered free of charge to schools, community groups, government groups, and can be tailored to suit any audience.
Tours take approximately 30 minutes once you arrive at Robin Hood Bay. Tours are offered from Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. During the winter months, tour availability is dependent on snow accumulation.
To take a tour of Robin Hood Bay your group must come in a vehicle that has at least one empty seat – the tour guide needs a place to sit too! School buses, Metrobuses, chartered buses and passenger vans are all acceptable forms of transportation.
Please note the tours do not include going inside the Recycling Facility, due to health and safety concerns. You can ‘see inside’ the Recycling Facility by watching this video.
